Procardin Special Precautions

Full Prescribing Info
Special Precautions
Procardin is a potent vasodilator and should therefore be used with caution in patients with rapidly worsening angina, subvalvular aortic stenosis or haemodynamic instability associated with a recent sustained myocardial infarction. Although Procardin has been in wide general use for many years there is no evidence of ill-consequence during human pregnancy, animal studies have shown no hazard. Medicines should not be used in pregnancy, especially the first trimester, unless the expected benefit is thought to outweigh any possible risk to the foetus.
