Why do I need this medicine?
This medicine helps replace testosterone for those who lacks or do not produce enough testosterone.
How do I take this medicine?
Take Testosterone exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.

Take it together with food or immediately after a meal. Swallow the capsule whole, do not crush or chew. Try to take it at the same time each day.

Testosterone must be taken regularly and within the given medication timeframe for it to be effective. Do not stop taking it unless instructed by the doctor.
What should I do if I have forgotten to take this medicine?
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.

DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.

If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
When should I not use this medicine?
Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions:
  • cancer of the breast
  • known or suspected cancer of the prostate
as this medicine may not be suitable for you.

This medicine is not indicated for use in women, and must not be used by women who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
What should I take note of while taking this medicine?
Inform your doctor if you have the following conditions:
  • kidney disease
  • liver disease
  • heart disease
  • high blood pressure
  • blood clotting disorder
  • enlarged prostate
  • migraine
  • epilepsy (fits or seizures)
  • sleep disorder characterised by pauses or shallow breathing
Inform your doctor that you are taking Testosterone as this medicine may interfere with certain laboratory tests.

Keep your appointments with your doctor. Certain routine tests may be conducted to monitor your condition and check your response to the medication. Your doctor will advise you about how often you need to have these tests.
What side effects could I experience?
Testosterone may cause any of the following side effects: headache, depression, irritability, sleep disturbances, and swelling of the legs, feet, or hands.

Some side effects may need immediate medical help. Alert your doctor quickly if you experience any of the following:
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes
  • difficulty passing urine
  • breathlessness
  • long, painful erection of the penis
  • enlargement of the breast
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Can I take this with other medicines?
Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you are taking any of this medicines:
  • blood-thinning medicines e.g. warfarin
  • medicines for diabetes e.g. insulin
  • anti-inflammatory medicines e.g. corticosteroids
This list does not include all medicines that may interact with Testosterone.

Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
How should I store this medicine?
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.

Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
