Triprolidine and Pseudoephedrine are combined together in this medicine.
Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine helps relieve nasal congestion and symptoms of allergies, such as runny nose, sneezing, and red, itchy, and watery eyes.
Take Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine exactly as directed by your doctor or according to the instructions on the label. Do not take more or less than instructed by your doctor.
Try to take it at the same time each day.
Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine is available as a tablet or oral liquid or syrup. If you are taking the syrup, shake the bottle well before you take it to ensure that the liquid is evenly mixed.
Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and return to your normal dosing schedule.
DO NOT double a dose under any circumstances.
If you often forget to take your medicine, let your doctor and pharmacist know.
Alert your doctor if you have the following conditions:
- very high blood pressure
- severe coronary artery disease (disorder of the blood vessels of the heart)
as Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine may not be suitable for you.
Do not take Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine if you are currently taking or have taken a medicine used to treat depression known as monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine in the last 14 days.
Inform your doctor if you have the following:
- high blood pressure
- heart disease
- thyroid disease
- increased pressure in the eyes
- liver disease
- kidney disease
- prostate problems or difficulty in urination
Let your doctor know if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving this medicine to children below 12 years old
If you are going for certain laboratory tests (e.g. urine drug tests), inform your doctor that you are taking this medicine.
Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine may cause dizziness or drowsiness. If affected, do not drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert.
Other side effects include any of the following: headache, nervousness, tiredness, difficulty sleeping, stomach discomfort, dry mouth, joint pain and rashes.
Inform your doctor if any of these side effects do not go away or are severe, or if you experience other side effects.
Do not take Triprolidine + Pseudoephedrine if you are currently taking or have taken a medicine used to treat depression known as a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid, phenelzine and tranylcypromine in the last 14 days.
Inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any of these medicines:
- medicines for high blood pressure e.g. methyldopa, guanethidine
- other medicines for cold and allergy
Always notify your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics such as traditional Chinese medicines, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.
Store in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children.
Protect from light.
Medicines must not be used past the expiry date.
