Rhodiola rosea dry root extract (WS® 1375).
Description
One film-coated tablet contains: 200mg dry extract from the roots of Rhodiola rosea (1.5-5:1) (WS® 1375); Extraction agent: ethanol 60% (w/w).
Action
Rhodiola rosea is an adaptogen that enhances the body's ability to cope with tension.
Indications/Uses
For the relief of mental and physical symptoms of tension and overwork.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adults and the Elderly: 2 tablets daily, one before breakfast and one before lunch, to be taken with a glass of water preferably 30 minutes before food intake.
Contraindications
Vitango should not be used by patients with known hypersensitivity to Rhodiola rosea or to any of the excipients.
As there is insufficient data, Vitango tablets should not be used in children and adolescents under 18 years of age and by pregnant and lactating women.
It should not be used in patients with impaired hepatic or renal functions due to insufficient data of use in these groups of patients.
Adverse Reactions
There is no negative influence on the ability to drive and use machines.
One single case each of hypersensitivity and hypoglycaemia have been reported. The causal relation to the intake of Rhodiala rosea extract has not been proven.
Drug Interactions
There are no known drug interactions up to now.
Storage
Store in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
