Indications/Uses
Active oral immunisation against typhoid fever in adult, childn ≥6 yr & elderly.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult, childn ≥6 yr & elderly 1 cap on days 1, 3 & 5.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before a meal. Swallow immediately after placing in the mouth, do not chew.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Congenital or acquired immunodeficiency (including patients receiving immunosuppressive or antimitotic drugs). Postpone vaccination during acute febrile illness or acute GI illness.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy & lactation. Childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain, nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting; fever, influenza-like illness; headache; rash.
Drug Interactions
Inhibition by sulphonamides or antibiotics. Malaria prophylaxis.
