Indications/Uses
Relief of fever & pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
A-Mol Caplet >67 kg 2 caplets 4 hrly, 50-67 kg 1½ caplet 4 hrly, 34-50 kg 1 tab 4 hrly. Max: 8 caplets in 24 hr. Childn 6-12 yr ½-1 caplet 4-6 hrly. A-Mol/A-Mol Pediatric Syr/susp Childn <12 yr 10-15 mg/kg 4-6 hrly. Should not be administered for >5 times daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Hepatic & renal disease.
Adverse Reactions
Rash; increased plasma conc of Cl, uric acid or glucose, decreased plasma conc of Na, bicarbonate or Ca; anemia, neutropenia, pancytopenia, thrombocytopenia; increased bilirubin & alkaline phosphatase; increased ammonia, nephrotoxicity w/ chronic overdose; hypersensitivity reactions.
Drug Interactions
Increased potential hepatotoxicity w/ barbiturates, hydantoins, INH & sulfinpyrazone. Increase antithrombotic effect of warfarin.
