Ketorolac tromethamine
Indications/Uses
Dosage/Direction for Use
Relief of ocular itching due to seasonal allergic conjunctivitis 1 drop qid. Prophylaxis & reduction of inflammation & associated symptoms following ocular surgery 1 drop to the affected eye(s) tid beginning 24 hr before ocular surgery & continuing through the 3 wk of the post-op period.
Special Precautions
Patients w/ known bleeding tendencies or who are receiving other medications which may prolong bleeding time. Contact lens wearers. Potential for cross-sensitivity to acetylsalicylic acid, phenylacetic acid derivatives & other NSAIDs. Pregnancy, lactation. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Transient stinging & burning on instillation, ocular irritation, allergic reactions, superficial ocular infections, superficial keratitis & photophobia.
