Timolol maleate
Indications/Uses
Ocular HTN, chronic open-angle glaucoma, aphakic glaucoma.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 drop bid.
Contraindications
Bronchial asthma, bronchospasm, history of bronchial asthma or severe COPD, uncontrolled congestive cardiac insufficiency, cardiogenic shock, high AV block (w/o apparatus), Raynaud's phenomena, high bradycardia (<45-50 pulse/min).
Special Precautions
Control cardiac insufficiency prior to therapy. History of severe cardiac disease. False positive result in doping test. Avoid wearing contact lenses. DM. Premature baby & newborn. Lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Ocular irritation & visual disturbances, CV & resp effects, headache, asthenia, nausea, dizziness, depression, fatigue, rash, urticaria.
Drug Interactions
Amiodarone, Ca inhibitors, catecholamine-depleting β-blockers. Eye drops containing adrenaline.

S01ED01 - timolol ; Belongs to the class of beta blocking agents. Used in the treatment of glaucoma.
