Anastrozole
Indications/Uses
Advanced breast cancer in postmenopausal women. As an adjuvant treatment of postmenopausal women w/ hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 tab once daily.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Contraindications
Severe renal impairment (CrCl <20 mL/min). Premenopausal women. Moderate or severe liver disease. Pregnancy, lactation.
Special Precautions
Hepatic or renal disease. History or concurrent condition affecting bone strength. Concomitant use w/ LH releasing hormone analogues. Galactose intolerance, Lapp-lactase deficiency or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Childn.
Adverse Reactions
Hot flushes, asthenia, joint pain or stiffness, vag dryness, hair thinning, rash, nausea, diarrhoea, headache.
Drug Interactions
Tamoxifen, oestrogen-containing drugs.
