Indications/Uses
Adjuvant treatment of post-menopausal women w/ hormone receptor-positive early breast cancer. Treatment of advanced breast cancer in post-menopausal women for which Arimidex has efficacy at least as good as tamoxifen. Adjuvant treatment of early breast cancer in hormone receptor-positive post-menopausal women who have received 2-3 yr of adjuvant tamoxifen.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult including elderly 1 tab once a day. Duration of treatment: 5 yr when using Arimidex as the adjuvant treatment for early invasive breast cancer.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
Severe renal impairment (CrCl <20 mL/min), moderate or severe hepatic disease. Premenopausal women. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Menopausal status should be defined biochemically if there are doubts. Women w/ osteoporosis or at risk of osteoporosis. Childn. Persistent vag bleeding.
Adverse Reactions
Hot flushes, asthenia, joint pain/stiffness, vag dryness, hair thinning, rash, nausea, diarrhoea, headache.
Drug Interactions
Concurrent oestrogen-containing & tamoxifen therapies.

L02BG03 - anastrozole ; Belongs to the class of enzyme inhibitors. Used in treatment of neoplastic diseases.
