Indications/Uses
Peptic ulcer to reduce further gastric acid secretion & delay of gastric emptying. Irritable bowel syndrome in patients whom other therapy eg, sedation &/or change in diet has failed. Antisialogogue pre-anesth medication to prevent or reduce salivation & resp tract secretions. Parkinsonism, rigidity & tremor. Poisoning from organophosphorus & muscarine-containing mushroom.
Dosage/Direction for Use
IM/SC/IV Adult 0.4-0.6 mg every 4-6 hr. Childn 0.01 mg/kg every 4-6 hr.
