Beclomethasone dipropionate
Indications/Uses
Prophylaxis & treatment of allergic rhinitis & vasomotor rhinitis. Prophylaxis for recurrent nasal polyposis following polypectomy.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2 sprays into each nostril bid. For some patients, single application into each nostril tid-qid may be preferred. Max: 8 puffs/day.
Contraindications
Childn <6 yr. Acute infection.
Special Precautions
Nasal infection; steroid dependence; pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Dryness & irritation of nose & throat, sneezing, epistaxis, headache. Nasal septal perforation (rare).
