Betamethasone valerate 0.1%, neomycin sulfate 0.5%
Indications/Uses
Inflammatory dermatoses responsive to topical corticosteroid therapy, when bacterial infection is present or suspected.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Apply bid-tid until improvement occurs.
Contraindications
Rosacea; acne vulgaris; perioral dermatitis; primary cutaneous viral infection. Treatment of primarily infected skin lesions caused by infection w/ fungi or bacteria; skin lesions; primary or secondary infections due to yeast; dermatoses in childn <1 yr. Perforated otitis externa.
Special Precautions
Atrophic changes in face w/ prolonged treatment. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Long-term continuous therapy. Pregnancy. Childn & infant.
Adverse Reactions
Local atrophic changes in the skin; pustular psoriasis; hypercorticism; suppression of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis.
