General: It is recommended to measure serum Ca level periodically during treatment in order to avoid overdosing and arrange the dosage so that serum Ca level does not exceed the normal range.
Discontinue treatment when hypercalcemia occurs. After having confirmed the return of serum Ca level to normal, re-start treatment at a reduced dose.
Use in Pregnancy: Animal studies have demonstrated that massive dose administration delays fetal ossification. Since the safety has not been confirmed in human pregnancy, do not administer the drug to pregnant women or women suspected of being pregnant unless therapeutic benefit is thought to outweigh any possible risk.
Use in Children: The safety has not been established in children (No experience in using the drug in children).
