Indications/Uses
Arthritis & related disorders (RA, OA), acute musculoskeletal disorders (tendinitis, bursitis, post-traumatic pain); post-op pain. Symptomatic treatment of primary dysmenorrhea.
Dosage/Direction for Use
20 mg/day. Elderly 10 mg/day.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
GI ulcer, gastritis, dyspepsia. Severe hepatic or renal disease. Severe heart failure, severe HTN, severe blood alterations or hemorrhagic diathesis. Pregnancy, lactation, childn. Hypersensitivity to NSAIDs or aspirin.
Special Precautions
Upper GIT disorders, CV insufficiency, HTN, hepatic or renal impairment, renal hypoperfusion, blood diseases, asthma, diabetes. Elderly. Prolonged use. Concomitant diuretics. Avoid alcohol.
Adverse Reactions
Most common: GI disturbances (nausea, epigastric distress, constipation & diarrhea). Others: Hypersensitivity, headache, vertigo, asthenia, changes in blood chemistry, increased BUN.
Drug Interactions
Diuretics, lithium, glucocorticoids, quinolones, drugs affecting serum K, anticoagulants. Alcohol.
