Terbutaline sulfate
Indications/Uses
Bronchospasm in bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, emphysema.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 10-15 mL, 1-5 yr 5-10 mL, <1 yr 2.5-5 mL. All doses to be taken tid.
Administration
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
HTN, CV disease; unstable diabetes. Increased susceptibility to sympathomimetics. Thyrotoxicosis.
Adverse Reactions
Tremor, tonic cramp & palpitations. Tachycardia, arrhythmia.
Drug Interactions
Increased risk of arrhythmias w/ cardiac glycosides, quinidine or TCA.

R03CC03 - terbutaline ; Belongs to the class of adrenergics for systemic use, selective beta-2-adrenoreceptor agonists. Used in the treatment of obstructive airway diseases.
