Clotrimazole 1% in Propylene Glycol USP and Glycerin BP base.
Pharmacology: The active ingredient Clotrimazole exerts potent fungicidal action against Candida species which cause Oral Thrush.
Tolerance: CANDID Mouth Paint shows excellent tolerance. The formulation is for use in the mouth. However systemic ingestion dose not pose any hazard to the patient as the formulation is completely safe.
Oral Thrush (Monilial Thrush).
Dosage/Direction for Use
10 to 20 drops (½ to 1 ml.) of CANDID Mouth paint are gently applied in the mouth, 3 to 4 times daily, preferably with the help of a cotton bud. Care should be taken to ensure that all the lesions in the mouth are covered. Although improvement is seen in 3 to 5 days generally, treatment should be continued till the infection is completely eliminated. Attention should be directed to the control of any factor that may predispose the patient to infection as this will help prevent recurrence.
Except for possible hypersensitivity reactions, there are no contraindications for CANDID Mouth Paint.
Store below 25°C. Protect from light.
