Indications/Uses
Mucolytic in resp disorders characterized by excessive or viscous mucous. Relief of cough caused by tenacious mucous.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2 tab or 1 tbsp tid, reduced to 1 tab or ½ tbsp tid after satisfactory response. Childn 5-12 yr 1 tsp tid, 2-5 yr ¼-½ tsp qid, <2 yr as directed by physician.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Active peptic ulcer.
Special Precautions
History of peptic ulcer. Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, GI bleeding, occasionally headache & skin rash.
