Indications/Uses

Infections caused by susceptible organism including penicillin-resistant Staph.

Dosage/Direction for Use

250-500 mg qid.

Administration

Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to penicilllins.

Special Precautions

Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins. Renal impairment. Jaundiced neonate.

Adverse Reactions

Allergic reactions, glossitis, stomatitis, black hairy tongue, anaphylaxis.

Drug Interactions

Renal excretion reduced by probenecid. Decrease anticoagulant effect.
