Ciprofloxacin HCl
Indications/Uses
Resp tract, ENT, GIT, biliary tract, & skin & soft tissue infections; meningitis, septicemia, peritonitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
125-750 mg bid.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals to minimise GI discomfort. Do not take w/ antacids, Fe or dairy products.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to ciprofloxacin or other quinolones. Pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Epilepsy, CNS damage.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, diarrhoea, vomiting, abdominal pain, headache, restlessness & rash.

Antacids may interfere w/ absorption. Increased theophylline level.
