Prulifloxacin 132.1 mg (equiv to ulifloxacin 100 mg)
Indications/Uses
Superficial & deep skin infections, chronic pyoderma; secondary infections in traumas, burns or surgical wounds; perianal abscess, pharyngitis/laryngitis, tonsillitis, acute bronchitis, pneumonia, secondary infections in chronic resp lesion, cystitis, pyelonephritis, prostatitis (acute, chronic), cholecystitis, cholangitis, infectious enteritis, cholera, intrauterine infection, uterine adnexitis, hordeolum, otitis media, sinusitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take at least 2 hr before or 4 hr after Al- or Mg-containing antacids, Fe or Ca-containing prep.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Concomitant fenbufen, flurbiprofen axetil or flurbiprofen. Pregnancy, lactation, childn.
Special Precautions
Severe renal disorder, convulsive disorders, elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, shock or anaphylactoid reaction, rhabdomyolysis, hypoglycemia, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, Lyell syndrome, pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, acute renal failure, hepatic function disorder, jaundice, ventricular tachycardia (including Torsades de pointes), Achilles tendonitis or tendon rupture, pseudomembranous colitis, interstitial pneumonia, convulsion, psychiatric symptoms, vasculitis.
Drug Interactions
Theophylline, aminophylline, NSAIDs of phenylacetic acid or propionic acid derivatives (eg, diclofenac, ketoprofen), Al- or Mg-containing antacids, Fe prep, prep containing Ca, H2-receptor antagonist, proton pump inhibitor.
