Indications/Uses
Treatment of resp tract, GIT, skin & soft tissues.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 250-500 mg qid. Childn 25 mg/kg body wt qid.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take at least 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to penicillins.
Special Precautions
Hypersensitivity to cephalosporins, jaundiced neonates, infant, renal impairment, lymphatic leukaemia.
Adverse Reactions
GI disturbances, pruritus, urticaria, skin rashes, superinfection, anaphylaxis.
Drug Interactions
Probenecid impairs renal excretion. Decreases anticoagulant effects.
