Contents
Per 10 mL Na alginate 1,000 mg, K bicarbonate 200 mg
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of gastro-oesophageal reflux eg, heartburn & indigestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn ≥12 yr 5-10 mL after meals & at bedtime.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take after meals & at bedtime.
Contraindications
Known or suspected hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Patients on low Na diet eg, cases of CHF & renal impairment; controlled K diet eg, patients w/ reduced kidney function. Patients w/ hypercalcemia, nephrocalcinosis & recurrent Ca containing renal calculi. Methyl hydroxybenzoate & propyl hydroxybenzoate content. Chronic renal failure, liver cirrhosis. Childn <12 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Anaphylactic & anaphylactoid reactions, bronchospasm, urticaria.
Drug Interactions
Consider time-interval of 2 hr in concomitant use w/ other medicinal products eg, tetracycline, fluoroquinolones, Fe salts, thyroid hormones, chloroquine, biphosphonates, & estramustine.
