Oral gel: Aqua, poly N-vinyl-2-pyrrolidone (PVP), taurine, Zn gluconate, polyethylene glycol (PEG) 40 hydrogenated castor oil, Na saccharin, Na hydroxide.
Oral spray: Aqua, Na saccharin, PVP, taurine, Zn gluconate, PEG 40 hydrogenated castor oil, pullulan.
Description
Protection of signs and symptoms associated with oral mucositis: Mucositis and stomatitis are inflammation of the oral cavity, normally accompanied by erythematous lesions and sometimes by ulcerative lesions that are particularly painful so much so as to make chewing and swallowing difficult.
Indications/Uses
GelX has a mechanical action indicated for the management of pain and relief of pain by adhering to the mucosal surface of the mouth, soothing the lesions caused by chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. (Can use before chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy.)
Oral gel: GelX ORAL GEL is a sticky gel, formulated to help the healing of lesion to oral mucosa. It forms a protective film which adheres to the mucosal surface preventing further irritation and helping to rapidly relieve pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Oral gel: Use 15 ml of product, 2/3 times a day. Rinse around the mouth for at least 1 minute to allow contact between the product throughout the oral cavity and the formation of a protective film. Recommend to use this product before taking a meal or drinking water at least 1 hour.
Oral spray: Spray into the mouth ulcer directly. Spray three times. Repeat three times per day. Recommend to use this product before taking a meal or drinking water at least 1 hour. "Alcohol Free".
Contraindications
Do not use if patient has a known allergy to any of the ingredients.
Special Precautions
Do not use if the package is opened or damaged.
Oral gel: Close the bottle after use.
Storage
Store below 30°C, away from direct heat.
