Indications/Uses
Pre-op & post-op laxative, in prep for X-ray procedures, & in constipation in adult & childn.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 2 tab. Childn >6 yr 1 tab. To be taken at bedtime.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take on an empty stomach for rapid effect. Do not take w/in 1 hr of antacids, milk or other dairy products.
Contraindications
Symptoms of appendicitis; undiagnosed abdominal pain.
Special Precautions
Chronic use. Childn <6 yr.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal discomfort. Long-term use: Electrolyte disturbances, wt loss. Urine discoloration.
Drug Interactions
May decrease absorption of other drugs.
