Albendazole
Indications/Uses
Single or mixed infestation of roundworm, pinworm, threadworm, hookworm, whipworm, strongyloides, tapeworm & liver fluke.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & childn >2 yr 2 tab single dose. Strongyloides 2 tab as a single dose daily for 3 days. Liver fluke 2 tab bid for 3 days.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Cholestasis. Impaired hepatic drug-metabolising capacity.
Adverse Reactions
Transient abdominal pain, diarrhea. At high doses, allergic reactions, raised liver enzyme values, leukopenia, alopecia.
