Antazoline HCl 0.05%, tetrahydrozoline HCl 0.04%, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose.
Description
Each mL of Hista-Oph Eye Drops contains Antazoline Hydrochloride 0.5 mg (0.05%), Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride 0.4 mg (0.04%), Hydroxypropyl Methylcellulose.
Excipients/Inactive Ingredients: Benzalkonium Chloride 0.015% as preservative.
Action
Antazoline Hydrochloride is an antihistamine useful for ocular allergies. It has local anaesthetic and also some anticholinergic properties. It is claimed to be less irritating to the tissues than most other antihistamines.
Tetrahydrozoline Hydrochloride is a sympathomimetic agent which possess vasoconstricted action, useful for ophthalmic decongestion in conjunctivitis.
Indications/Uses
For treatment of allergic conjunctivitis, congestion caused by hay-fever conjunctivitis, drug or chemical hypersensitivity reaction, excessive lacrimal secretion or stenosis of the lacrimal canal.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-2 drops topically into the conjunctival sac(s) 4-6 times a day.
Contraindications
Narrow-angle glaucoma and hypersensitivity to composition of Hista-Oph Eye Drops.
Warnings
Don't let the dropping nozzle (tip) contact with anything eg. fingers, eyeball, eyelash, eyelids, etc., as the germs may contaminated the content. Always replace the cap immediately after use.
Do not use longer than 1 month after first opening.
