Indications/Uses
Acute GI, biliary & genitourinary spasm including biliary & renal colic.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Acute attack of colicky pain
10-20 mg IV/IM/SC tid-qid, max: 100 mg/day.
Childn
5 mg tid in severe case.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to belladonna. Glaucoma, prostatic hypertrophy w/ urinary retention, mechanical stenosis of the GIT, pyloric obstruction, tachycardia, megacolon or myasthenia gravis.
Special Precautions
May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Pregnancy (1st trimester). Pre-term labour.
Adverse Reactions
Xerostomia, visual disturbances, tachycardia, dizziness, urinary retention.
