Ibuprofen
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of RA, ankylosing spondylitis, OA, non-articular rheumatism.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Tab 1-2 tab. Syr Childn 8-12 yr 2 tsp, 3-7 yr 1 tsp, 1-2 yr ½ tsp. All doses to be taken tid-qid.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Sensitivity to ibuprofen, aspirin, active GI bleeding, lactation.
Special Precautions
Active or severe peptic ulcer, pregnancy, renal failure.
Adverse Reactions
GI intolerance & bleeding, dyspepsia, skin rash, headache, dizziness, nervousness, pruritus, tinnitus, edema, impairment of liver & kidney function.
Drug Interactions
Coumarin anticoagulants, digoxin, diuretics, lithium.
