Indications/Uses
Chronic hepatitis B & HBV replication in patients ≥16 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
100 mg once daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Renal function impairment, history of pancreatitis, peripheral neuropathy, & known risk factors for liver disease. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, headache, fatigue, skin rash, insomnia, paresthesias, pancreatitis, peripheral neuropathy.
Drug Interactions
May inhibit intracellular phosphorylation of zalcitabine & emtricitabine.
