Terbinafine
Indications/Uses
Fungal skin infections caused by dermatophytes eg, Trichophyton, Microsporum canis & Epidermophyton floccosum eg, interdigital type tinea pedis (athlete's foot), tinea cruris (dhobie jock itch), tinea corporis (ringworm). Pityriasis versicolor due to Pityrosporum orbiculare.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Special Precautions
Not to be used on face. Patients w/ lesions where alcohol could be irritating eg, after sun exposure or severe skin scaling. May cause local reactions or eyes & mucous membrane irritation due to butylhydroxytoluene. Avoid contact w/ eyes. Pregnancy & lactation. Not recommended in childn <18 yr. Not to come in contact w/ infants.
