Diclofenac K
Indications/Uses
Post-op pain & inflammation, dysmenorrhea, migraine attacks, non-articular rheumatism, post-traumatic inflammatory states.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 25-50 mg tid. Childn ≥14 yr 75-100 mg daily in divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately after meals.
Contraindications
Peptic ulcer.
Special Precautions
History of GI disease, asthma, impaired hepatic, cardiac or renal function. Porphyria. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
GI disorders & bleeding, headache, dizziness, vertigo, rash. Rarely, peptic ulcer, abnormalities in renal function, hepatitis, hypersensitivity.
Drug Interactions
Anticoagulants, oral antidiabetics, quinolones, cyclosporin. Increases plasma conc of lithium, methotrexate, digoxin. May reduce effects of diuretics.
