Indications/Uses
Local anesth.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1% soln Peripheral: Intercostal nerve block 3 mL, paravertebral nerve block 3-5 mL, pudendal & paracervical nerve block (each side) 10 mL. Sympathetic: Cervical nerve block 5 mL, lumbar nerve block 5-10 mL. Percutaneous infiltration anesth 0.5-30 mL. 0.5% soln IV regional anesth 10-60 mL.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to local anesth of the amide type. Patients w/ Adams-Stokes syndrome or w/ severe degrees of SA, AV or intraventricular heart block in the absence of an artificial pacemaker. Septicemia.
Drug Interactions
Antiarrhythmic drugs (eg, phenytoin, procainamide, propranolol or quinidine). β-blockers & cimetidine.

N01BB02 - lidocaine ; Belongs to the class of amides. Used as local anesthetics.
