Indications/Uses

Dosage/Direction for Use
RA & ankylosing spondylitis 15 mg/day. Max: 15 mg/day. Acute exacerbation of OA 7.5 mg/day. May be increased to 15 mg/day. Dialysis patients w/ severe renal failure Max: 7.5 mg/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: May be taken w/ meals if GI discomfort occurs.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. History of urticaria, angioedema, bronchospasm, severe rhinitis or shock precipitated by aspirin or other NSAIDs. History of aspirin triad (aspirin sensitivity, asthma & nasal polyps). CABG surgery. Renal impairment.
Special Precautions
Peptic ulcer, CHF, overt renal disease, liver cirrhosis, nephrotic syndrome. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Edema, headache, dizziness, rash, dyspepsia, nausea, flatulence, abdominal pain, upper resp infection, pharyngitis, flu-like symptoms.
Drug Interactions
NSAIDs, aspirin, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, bile acid sequestrants (eg, cholestyramine), diuretic, lithium, methotrexate, warfarin.
