Concise Prescribing Info
Codeine phosphate 15 mg, paracetamol 300 mg
Symptomatic relief of moderate to severe pain.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 1-2 tab 4 hrly. Max dose/day: Codeine phosphate not >360 mg, paracetamol not >4 g.
May be taken with or without food.
Special Precautions
Renal or hepatic impairment; may cause abnormal blood count. Discontinue if jaundice or paleness occurs. Concomitant alcohol-containing food & drugs; & CNS-acting drugs. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery. Infant & childn <6 yr. Elderly w/ prostatic hypertrophy, malfunction of adrenal or thyroid gland.
Adverse Reactions
Drowsiness, constipation, dry mouth, anorexia, nausea, vomiting, tachycardia or bradychardia, HTN.
Drug Interactions
Severely increased toxicity w/ CNS depressants, phenothiazines, TCAs, other narcotic analgesics, MAOIs & neuromuscular blockers.

N02AJ06 - codeine and paracetamol ; Belongs to the class of opioids in combination with other non-opioid analgesics. Used to relieve pain.
