Dosage/Direction for Use
Amoebiasis 2-4 tab tid for 5-10 days. Giardiasis 10 tab/day for 3 days. Trichomoniasis 1 tab tid for 7-10 day. Inj Individualised dosage.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Blood dyscrasias. Active CNS disease.
Special Precautions
1st trimester of pregnancy, lactation.
Adverse Reactions
GI discomfort, anorexia, coated tongue, dry mouth, unpleasant taste, headache, pruritus, skin rash. Rarely, vomiting, diarrhea, neurologic effects, urethral discomfort & darkening of urine. Leukopenia. Peripheral neuropathy.
Drug Interactions
Alcohol may provoke a disulfiram-like reaction. Metronidazole enhances the anticoagulant effect of warfarin.
