Indications/Uses
Neuropathies. Treatment & prophylaxis of vit B1 deficiency conditions.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult Treatment of neuropathies caused by vit B1 deficiency Initially 1 tab bid or tid over a period of at least 3 wk followed w/ 1-2 tab once daily. Treatment of vit B1 deficiency 1 tab once daily or bid. Prevention of vit B1 deficiency 1 tab once daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to benfotiamine or thiamine.
Special Precautions
Fructose intolerance, glucose-galactose malabsorption or sucrase-isomaltase insufficiency. Pregnancy & lactation. Childn & adolescent ≤18 yr.
Drug Interactions
May be deactivated by 5-fluoruracil. May intensify effect of muscle relaxants.
