Each g Mometasone furoate 1 mg
Indications/Uses
Relief of inflammatory & pruritic manifestation of corticosteroid responsive dermatoses in patients ≥ 2 yr.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Patients ≥2 yr Apply thin film to affected area once daily.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity. Monotherapy in primary bacterial infections eg, impetigo, paronychia, erysipelas, cellulitis, angular cheilitis, erythrasma. Rosacea, perioral dermatitis or acne. Prolonged ocular exposure may cause steroid-induced glaucoma & cataracts.
Special Precautions
Do not use for oral, ophth or intravaginal. Discontinue treatment if local irritation, dermatological infection develops. Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis suppression & Cushing's syndrome, hyperglycemia & glycosuria. Avoid use on the face, groin, or axillae. Do not use in ped patients for >3 wk. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Acneiform eruptions; allergic contact dermatitis; burning; dryness; erythema; folliculitis; hypertrichosis; hypopigmentations; itching; irritation; numbness of fingers; perioral dermatitis; pruritus; stinging & cracking/tightenting of skin. Maceration of the skin; miliaria; secondary infection; skin atrophy; striae; telangiectasia.
