Indications/Uses
Conditions associated w/ increased tonus of striated muscle due to organic or neurologic affections, muscular hypertonia, spasm & contracture. Locomotor disorders eg, spondylosis, spondylarthrosis, lumboischialgia. Obliterative vascular diseases, conditions caused by disorders of vascular innervation.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult 150-450 mg daily. Childn 6-14 yr 2-4 mg/kg body wt daily in 3 divided doses, 3 mth-6 yr 5 mg/kg body wt daily in 3 divided doses.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Myasthenia gravis, pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Sensations of tension in the head, nausea, vomiting, transient physical asthenia. Pruritus, erythema, urticaria may rarely occur. Muscular weakness in childn.
