Description
Natear UD contains Hypromellose (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose) 0.3% w/v. Natear UD provides relief of dry eyes.
Action
Pharmacology: Pharmacodynamics: Natear UD provides moisture and protect the eyes by forming a moist and lubricating film over the eye.
Indications/Uses
For temporary relief of dry eyes or eye irritation caused by reduced tear flow.
To help protect the eye from damage in certain eye diseases.
To moisten contact lenses or artificial eyes.
To moisten the eye in certain eye examination.
For relief of eye irritation association with deficient tear production e.g. keratoconjunctivitis.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Natear UD is an artificial tear for the treatment of dry eyes.
Instill one or two drops in each eye (avoid dropper tip touching the eye) 2-3 times daily or as needed.
Instill a few drops to each lens before insertion.
Note: Never touch the dropper tip of the tube on any surface including the eye.
Mode of Administration: Ophthalmic.
Wash the hands. Then tilt the head back and pull the lower eyelid away from the eye to form a pouch.
Drop Natear UD into the pouch and gently close the pouch. Do not blink. Keep the eye closed for 1-2 minutes.
Overdosage
Overdose would not be expected to produce symptoms.
Contraindications
Do not use if patient is allergic to any of the ingredients.
Special Precautions
It may cause transient mild stinging. If irritation persists or worsens, eye pain, vision changes or continued redness occur, discontinue use and consult a physician.
Discard any remaining solution 24 hours after first opening.
Never touch the dropper tip of the tube on any surface including the eye, since this may contaminate the solution.
Consult a physician or pharmacist before using any other eye medication concurrently with "Natear UD".
For contact lens wearers, if patient experiences persistent discomfort or irritation, remove the lenses, stop using the product and consult an eye care professional.
Effects on the Ability to Drive or Operate Machinery: It may cause temporary blurred vision. Do not drive or operate machinery unless patient's vision is clear.
Use In Pregnancy & Lactation
This medicine is not known to cause any problems during pregnancy or while breast-feeding. However, as with all medicines, seek medical advice from the doctor before having this medicine if pregnant or breast-feeding.
Adverse Reactions
Temporary burning or stinging, or blurred vision have occasionally been reported.

Storage
Store below 30°C. Protect from heat, moisture and direct light. Avoid freezing.
