Indications/Uses
CHF, HTN, chronic stable angina pectoris, vasospastic angina.
Dosage/Direction for Use
10 mg 1-2 tab bid. 20 mg 1 tab bid. CD retard tab 30 mg 1 tab in the morning; may be increased to 120 mg/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Swallow whole, do not chew/crush.
Contraindications
CV shock, pregnancy & lactation, acute MI w/in the last 4 wk.
Special Precautions
Severe hypotension.
Adverse Reactions
Vasodilation, hypotension. Rarely, GI & skin reactions.
Drug Interactions
Effects enhanced by other antihypertensives eg, β-blockers, digoxin, quinidine.
