Indications/Uses

Dosage/Direction for Use
UTI 200-400 mg bid. GIT infections 400 mg bid. Gonorrhea 800 mg single dose.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 1 hr before or 2 hr after meals. Ensure adequate hydration. Do not take w/ dairy products.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to quinolones, severe renal insufficiency, pregnancy & lactation.
Special Precautions
Renal & hepatic impairment, CNS damage, epilepsy.
Adverse Reactions
Nausea, headache, drowsiness, dizziness, rash, visual disturbance.
Drug Interactions
Antacids may reduce absorption. Probenecid reduces excretion. May potentiate effects of oral anticoagulants, phenytoin, theophylline.
