Action
Pharmacological Properties: Permixon acts on the enlargement mechanism of the prostatic adenoma and has an anti-oedematous effect on the prostate.
Indications/Uses
Functional signs due to benign prostatic hyperplasia (prostatic adenoma): Abnormality frequent micturition, especially at night, decrease of the volume and the strength of the urinary stream, pelvic congestion.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1 capsule twice a day at mealtimes with some water.
Contraindications
None.
Warnings
The intake of the drug on an empty stomach may in some cases result in nausea.
Adverse Reactions
Like all medicines, Permixon can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them. The side effects that can occur are: Common (affects 1 to 10 patient in 100): Headache, abdominal pain. Uncommon (affects 1 to 10 patients in 1000): Nausea, gamma-glutamyltransferase increased, moderate transaminases increased, rash, gynaecomastia. Reversible after treatment discontinuation. Not known (frequency cannot be estimated from the available data): Oedema.
