Indications/Uses
Short-acting IV anesth agent for induction & maintenance of general anesth, conscious sedation for surgical & diagnostic procedures, sedation of ventilated adult patients receiving intensive care.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Individualized dosage.
Contraindications
Allergy.
Special Precautions
Cardiac, resp, renal or hepatic impairment; hypovolemia; disorder of fat metabolism, bradycardia. Pregnancy except for termination. May impair ability to drive or operate machinery.
Adverse Reactions
Local pain, hypotension, transient apnoea, epileptiform movements, pulmonary oedema, headache. Rarely, discolouration of urine. Very rarely, anaphylaxis which may include angioedema, bronchospasm, erythema & hypotension, fever.
