Indications/Uses
Rheumatism, allergic conditions, status asthmaticus.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Individualized dosage.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Gastric & duodenal ulcers, systemic fungal infection, certain viral infections, glaucoma.
Special Precautions
Cardiac or renal dysfunction, HTN, migraine, osteoporosis, history of psychotic illness, latent TB, incomplete statural growth. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Fluid & salt retention, hirsutism, Cushingoid state, menstrual irregularities, premature epiphyseal closure, osteoporosis, myopathy, aseptic necrosis, skin atrophy, acne, psychic disturbances, glaucoma, increased IOP, posterior subcapsular cataracts, increased susceptibility to infection.
Drug Interactions
Efficacy may be reduced by phenytoin, phenobarb, rifampicin. May reduce effects of diuretics, hypoglycemics, anticholinesterase, salicylates.

H02AB06 - prednisolone ; Belongs to the class of glucocorticoids. Used in systemic corticosteroid preparations.
