Per 0.5 mL dose Attenuated Schwarz measles not <103 TCID50, RIT 4385 mumps (derived from Jeryl Lynn strain) not <103.7 TCID50 & Wistar RA 27/3 rubella not <103 TCID50
Active immunisation against measles, mumps & rubella.
Dosage/Direction for Use
SC/IM Administer 1st dose from 9 mth w/ a 2nd dose at 4-6 yr.
Known systemic hypersensitivity to neomycin. Patients w/ impaired immune responses including primary or secondary immunodeficiencies. Pregnancy.
Special Precautions
Do not administer IV. Acute severe febrile illness (postpone vaccination). Hypersensitivity to egg protein. History of allergic diseases, convulsions. Thrombocytopenia. Avoid pregnancy 3 mth after vaccination. Lactation. Infant <12 mth may not respond sufficiently, consider revaccination after 12 mth.
Adverse Reactions
Redness at the inj site, fever ≥38°C (rectal) or ≥37.5°C (axillary/oral). Upper resp tract infection; rash; pain & swelling at the inj site, fever >39.5°C (rectal) or >39°C (axillary/oral).
Drug Interactions
If Priorix cannot be given at the same time as other live attenuated vaccines, an interval of at least 1 mth should be left between both vaccinations. Delay vaccination for at least 3 mth in subjects who have received human γ-globulins or a blood transfusion.
