Domperidone maleate
Indications/Uses
Symptomatic treatment of nausea, vomiting, epigastric & abdominal feeling of heaviness & distension after meals associated w/ delayed gastric emptying.
Dosage/Direction for Use
1-2 tab tid & if required once more before retiring.
Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach: Take 30 min before meals.
Contraindications
GI hemorrhage, mechanical obstruction, perforation.
Special Precautions
Pregnancy.
Adverse Reactions
Transient intestinal cramps. May increase prolactin level.
Drug Interactions
Anticholinergics may inhibit antidyspeptic effects.
