Indications/Uses
HIV-1 infection in combination w/ other antiretrovirals.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult >18 yr 1 tab once daily.
Administration
Should be taken with food.
Contraindications
Hypersensitivity.
Special Precautions
Moderate or severe renal impairment. Monitor renal function. Avoid concomitant nephrotoxic drugs. Antiretroviral-experienced patients harbouring K65R mutation strains. Decrease in bone mineral density. Co-infection w/ hepatitis B or C. Risk factors for liver disease & hepatic steatosis. Lipodystrophy. Childn <18 yr. Pregnancy & lactation.
Adverse Reactions
Hypophosphataemia, dizziness, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, abdominal pain.
Drug Interactions
Cidofovir, didanosine, atazanavir.
