Contents
Micronized fenofibrate
Indications/Uses
Hypercholesterolemia, hypertriglyceridemia.
Dosage/Direction for Use
Adult & elderly 1 tab once daily. Max: 160 mg/day.
Administration
May be taken with or without food: Take at least 1 hr before or 4-6 hr after a bile acid binding resin.
Contraindications
Renal & hepatic dysfunction, preexisting gallbladder disease.
Special Precautions
Pancreatitis, hypersensitivity reactions, hematologic changes, myopathy. Periodic blood counts during the first 12 mth. Monitor liver function, serum lipids & CPK levels. Discontinue if gallstones are found & if marked elevated CPK levels or myopathy. Pregnancy, lactation. Elderly.
Adverse Reactions
Abdominal pain, back pain, headache, asthenia, flu syndrome, abnormal liver function tests, diarrhea, nausea, constipation, resp disorder, rhinitis; increased SGPT, creatine phosphokinase & SGOT.
Drug Interactions
Oral anticoagulants, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, resins, cyclosporin.

C10AB05 - fenofibrate ; Belongs to the class of fibrates. Used in the treatment of hyperlipidemia.
