Dosage/Direction for Use
Duodenal ulcer 20 mg daily for 2-4 wk. Gastric ulcer, reflux oesophagitis 20 mg daily for 4-8 wk. Peptic ulcer maintenance treatment 10-20 mg daily. Zollinger-Ellison syndrome Initially 60 mg once daily, then individually adjusted.
Administration
Should be taken with food: Take immediately before a meal.
Special Precautions
Exclude malignancy if gastric ulcer is suspected.
Adverse Reactions
Headache, rash, pruritus, hypersensitivity reactions.
Drug Interactions
May prolong elimination of diazepam, warfarin & phenytoin. Increases plasma conc of clarithromycin.
